Bark Recycled Pure Wool Blanket
£29.00
Eco-friendly, super-sustainable wool blankets, made using remnant yarns (from Tweedmill’s main throw collection) that might once have been destined for landfill. This “Bark” colourway combines mossy green-brown with stripes of rich plummy red, natural oatmeal, and a light blue accent stripe for a little lift – all in a traditional rustic weave, for a beautiful touch of natural texture and heritage style.
- Made in the UK at a traditional Welsh mill
- 100% Natural Fibres | Responsibly-sourced & Mulesing-free wool
- Perfect for a sofa throw, travel rug or chillier nights in the garden
Limited-edition by their nature, so we have new colourways arriving often. See our current collection of Recycled Wool Blankets.

MORE DETAILS
Woven using a colourful mixture of leftover yarns from Tweedmill’s main collection wool spools, these blankets (also known locally in Wales as ‘rugs’!) are wonderfully versatile. They have a less-refined finish than our more expensive throws, but are robust and durable…making them ideal to travel with you to the garden, park or beach. They’re great as a sofa throw too, injecting beautiful natural ‘home-spun’ texture, colour (and extra warmth) into your space. In fact, we think they bring a little bit of traditional Welsh joy to wherever you throw them. They make a great affordable sustainable gift (and our four-legged friends love them too – not least because they’re naturally hypoallergenic, odour-resistant, and self-wicking – great for temperature regulation – unlike synthetic pet beds & blankets.)

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Wool is naturally resistant to dirt, inherently odour-resistant, antimicrobial and antibacterial, so it actually doesn’t need to be washed too often. Giving your blanket a regular shake to remove dust, and airing it on the line when the weather is fair, works a treat for a quick refresh.
- Freshening: Avoid washing too often. Shake every now and again, and an hour on the line in a gentle breeze is perfect for a quick refresh.
- Hand Wash or Machine Wash: Use cool water by hand, or a delicates/wool or cool machine cycle, with a mild liquid detergent suitable for wool. Use a short spin cycle. Avoid using fabric conditioner.
- Spot Cleaning: For small spills or stains, you can spot clean gently with a damp sponge.
- Drying: Line dry (pegged over the line, not by one corner), or lay flat, preferably on top of a cotton towel.
- Don’ts: Don’t hang, shake or wring your rug whilst it’s wet. Do not tumble dry. Do not use bleach.
