These Tweedmill pure wool throws are some of the thickest and fluffiest we know, yet they remain completely breathable ~ unlike blankets made from man-made, synthetic fibres. Every single piece is woven with love at Tweedmill’s modern weaving mill in Flintshire, sitting on the edge of the historic Clwydian mountain range. Operating for over half a century, their family-run team combines classic, countryside-inspired designs with reliable British craftsmanship to create beautiful, earth-friendly textiles that are designed to endure through generations of busy family life.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
- Routine Care: Regularly shake out your throw to remove dust & debris. To spot clean small marks, use a damp cloth and gently dab the area. Pilling can occur when the natural wool fibres undergo everyday friction; gently run a wool shaver or metal fabric comb across the surface of your throw to safely restore its smooth finish.
- Washing: When a deeper clean is required, your blanket can be safely machine washed on a dedicated cold temperature wool cycle (maximum 30°C), with a gentle, slow spin, using a mild specialised wool detergent. Do not wash on a standard synthetic or cotton cycle.
- Drying: Reshape immediately after washing and dry flat away from direct heat sources.Â
- Things to avoid: Do not wring your throw or shake whilst wet. Do not tumble dry. Do not hand wash. Do not iron.
