These Fair Trade hats are lovingly hand-knitted using traditional techniques, by Pachamama’s community of cared-for craftspeople. Made from 100% naturally-insulating wool, and lined with a hidden band of ultra-soft fleece, they’re designed for a snugly secure, itch-free fit around the forehead, ears and neck, and will keep out the wind and the cold, yet remain highly breathable.

This handsome but practical woollen hat blends traditional hand-knit techniques with real utility. The premium 100% pure wool outer layer provides exceptional natural insulation to trap body heat, while the inside is lined around the forehead with an ultra-soft, non-itch thermal fleece band. This guarantees absolute comfort against the skin and total windproof protection, whether you’re out on the blustery moors or pounding the pavements!
SIZE & FIT
- Fits head circumference of approximately 56cm ~ 60cm, with a comfortable, natural stretch
Although Pachamama identify this hat as primarily for men, in the real world, knitwear sizing is fluid: it only really comes down to two things: the size of your head, and your own personal style. We have many women customers who prefer the slightly slouchier fit they get with these beanies, which are tailored with a deeper crown, and a broader ribbed turn-up brim than Pachamama’s ‘women’s’ range. They’re ideal for larger heads, those with thicker hair, and anyone with a smaller head who prefers a slightly roomier fit.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
- Washing & drying: Machine wash on a cold, dedicated wool cycle, with a short spin. Alternatively, you can wash by hand in cold water. Dry flat.
- Spills & spots: Blot immediate liquid spills gently with a dry cloth. Never rub or scrub the outer wool fibres, as this will cause the wool to felt.
- Things to avoid: Do not tumble dry.
