Lovingly hand-knitted using traditional techniques, by Pachamama’s community of cared-for craftspeople, it has a fluffy wool & mohair outer, with a hidden, ultra-soft fleece lining inside, for a cosy, comfortable fit that keeps your forehead and ears snug against the wind and the cold, whether you’re hitting the slopes, the moors, or the high street, and…without flattening your hair!

This pretty and practical headband is a continuous design, with natural stretch that helps it slip on easily. The premium mohair-wool blend outer provides exceptional insulation, whilst the inside is fully lined with Sherpa fleece, for absolute comfort and zero irritation, even for sensitive skin.
Please note that because every single piece in our Pachamama collection is made by hand, pattern placement can vary slightly from piece to piece. But we think that’s the charm of hand-crafted ethical alternatives to mass-produced fashion. SIZE & FIT
- One size | Fits head circumference of 54cm ~ 58cm, with a comfortable, natural stretch
- Width of band | Approx 10cm
Although Pachamama identify this headband primarily as one for the ladies, its inherent stretch means it easily adapts to different sizes. So we say that whether or not it’s for you only really comes down to two things: the size of your head, and your own personal style!
- Average women’s fit (55cm ~ 57cm) | Fits beautifully with a relaxed but secure hold
- Average men’s fit (57cm ~ 58cm) | Stretches out comfortably, for a traditional fit
- Larger heads of 59cm+ | If you generally find standard hats tight or shallow, we’d recommend looking at Pachamama’s designated ‘Large’ size hats
- Artisanal variance: Because every piece is individually knitted by hand, pattern sequences can vary slightly, and sizes can vary fractionally too
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
- Washing & drying: Machine wash on a cold programme, with a short spin. Alternatively, you can wash by hand in cold water. Dry flat.
- Spills & spots: Blot immediate liquid spills gently with a dry cloth. Never rub or scrub the outer wool fibres, as this will cause the wool to felt.
- Things to avoid: Do not tumble dry.
