Lovingly known as our ‘Huggable Hotties’, these stripey hot water bottle covers are made in Wales, and use up the beautiful rainbow of wool ends that are salvaged from the mill’s blanket-weaving processes. With a simple home-spun rustic charm, this one’s stripes are a lovely combo of rich purple, yellow ochre and oatmeal beige, on a background of natural grey-brown tones of raw, undyed wool.

Wool’s inherent thermal & breathable properties help this cover do a wonderful job of insulating the bottle, trapping heat in its fibres (without the ‘sweatiness’ of synthetic materials), so it stays warm until morning. Not that it’s only made for taking to bed ~ it’s great for snuggling on the sofa, keeping you comfortable in a chilly office or workshop, or easing aches & pains (along with the heating bill). Comes with a high-quality 2 litre bottle made from natural rubber.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Wool’s naturally dirt-resistant properties means your cover requires minimal washing. Often, a simple spot clean and an outdoor airing is all that’s needed.
- Washing: If a full clean is needed, remove the inner bottle and pop the cover in the machine on a cold wool cycle with a short spin. Or, wash by hand in cool water, ideally using a wool detergent. For small spills or stains, you can spot clean gently with a damp sponge. The bottle should be sponge-cleaned only.
- Drying: Do not wring, twist, or scrub when wet. Press flat between a clean towel to remove excess moisture, reshape gently, and dry completely flat away from direct heat & sun.
- Things to avoid: Do not iron. Do not tumble dry. Do not bleach.
- Filling safely: Always use water just below boiling point to fill your bottle. Fill to a maximum of two-thirds capacity, gently expelling excess air before tightening the stopper. Always keep the bottle out of the reach of babies and young children.
